Starlink’s New Pricing Structure Announced by SpaceX

SpaceX has announced an upcoming revision to Starlink pricing,
effective April 18, 2025.
This announcement includes key updates for Starlink maritime plans,
which we have summarized below. If your vessels use Starlink services
purchased directly from SpaceX, please review the following changes carefully.

Key Updates on the Starlink Pricing, Effective April 18, 2025

1. Expansion of Available Plans
Previously, Starlink maritime plans were available in 50GB, 1TB, and
5TB options.
With the new pricing structure, the available plans have expanded to
50GB, 500GB,
1TB, and 2TB as base options, while additional data can be added to
in 50GB or 500GB units.
This means vessels can now select more flexible plans tailored to their
specific needs, such as 100GB, 250GB, 600GB or 1250GB, among other possible
custom options.

2. Data Usage After Exceeding Plan Limits
Under the previous plan, once the allocated data was fully used at sea,
connectivity would stop entirely.
However, with the new plan, even if a vessel exceeds its plan’s data limit,
it will still be able to continue using Starlink at reduced speeds, similar to
VSAT speeds (upload: 0.5 Mbps, Download: 1 Mbps).
This ensures that basic connectivity remains available throughout the month
without interruptions.

*Lower Prices for Equipment
Additionally, the price of Maritime antennas has been reduced.
However, as pricing may vary depending on exchange rates,
we recommend checking SpaceX’s official website for the most
up-to-date information:

*Summary
If you have purchased Starlink directly from SpaceX, your contract will be
automatically updated to the new plan structure starting April 18, 2025.
We recommend checking your vessel’s contract accordingly.

If you have purchased Starlink through a satellite service carrier,
please check with your provider to confirm:
  -Whether the new plan structure applies to your current service.
  -Any potential changes in pricing.
