Regarding the Amount of Available Starlink Traffic for Land Use

Regarding the Amount of Available Starlink Traffic for Land Use

We appreciate your continued support.

In the previous ORCA REPORT, we have proposed the installation of two Starlink units.

We report on the communication usage status of a vessel actually equipped with the both units of Starlink Maritime and Starlink for land use (Starlink Roam Global).

The attached image is a screen shot of the Space X dashboard showing the amount of communication on this vessel's land-based Starlink.

This graph shows that the vessel switches from Starlink Maritime to Starlink for land use when it arrives at shore.

(Crew is allowed to use it with no capacity limit.)

The average communication traffic when switching to Starlink for land use is more than 100 GB/day.
Originally, Starlink for land use has unlimited usage, and this record shows that it is capable of flowing such a large amount of data as a communication capability.

Because of the long berthing period during this month, the total monthly traffic of the land-based Starlink exceeded 1TB.
The monthly cost of Starlink Roam Global is USD200.
This price allows for this much data transmission at high speeds.
This is not possible even with 4G/5G.

By using Starlink Maritime and Starlink for land use, it is possible to keep costs low and ensure high-volume communications.

ORiON PLUS can control and operate two or more Starlinks.

Please contact ORCA for more information.

Thank you and Best Regards,
