Conflicts between security products such as Anti-Virus and existing applications

Dear Customers,

Thank you for all your business.

In recent years, more and more new Anti-Virus and security products are being introduced to PCs on vessels
along with the launch of new products and the termination of services for existing ones.
As a result, we hereby alert you to the fact that there have been a number of failures
due to conflicts between the new product and the existing environment.

Certainly, new security products, with their enhanced capabilities, can detect risks that were previously uncovered.
On the other hand, enhanced defenses could affect the operation of existing systems.
Here are some examples;

-The heuristic scan functionality has been enhanced, and as a result, communication with existing systems has been blocked by the Trojan horse detection.
-The mail sending function of the existing system was detected as BOT by the logic scan.
-The SMS server is no longer accessible from other PCs due to the enhanced Firewall function.

These problems can usually be solved by changing the settings on the security product side.
However, investigating and addressing solutions will require a certain amount of time,
and it is extremely difficult to deal with it onboard in a brief.

Please make sure to request us to verify in your good company's IT standard environment
before introducing a new security or Anti-Virus product.
Otherwise, there is a possibility of malfunctioning of the existing system onsite.

This verification requires investigating the combination of each system in operation,
which could take from one to several weeks and on-site verification is required in some cases.

In addition, please note that some problems are discovered only after an operation for a certain period of time.

We are devoted to ensuring that the systems you adopted run smoothly.
Security and Anti-Virus products, in particular, have a large influence on others.
In the event of consulting with this matter, we would appreciate it if you would give us enough time.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact us.

Best regards,
