Our new service “ TICKET SYSTEM "

Important announcement:

our new service “ TICKET SYSTEM " mounted on ORiON Plus relating to CREW INTERNET SERVICE

 

Dear Customers,

 

Thank you for your continuous support as always.

 

Nowadays, the numbers of Management Company which offers herwith an internet service onboard as a part of family benefit has been increasing with increasing numbers of vessel which have been contracting with a MARITIME broadband provided by FBB and VSAT.

 

Here is past cases of CREW INTERNET mainly offering:

    #1. Controlled by the total amounts of data

    #2. Controlled by ID & Password

 

Although these were mainstreams, the former is easy to be managed,

there is an issue in an unfair use: only particular crew used it too much because of this, others couldn't...

On the other hand, the latter had another issue: Captain had to control them: he is bored a burden.

 

For the solutions, we have created “TICKET SYSTEM” 

As a new management method, we have mounted it on ORiON Plus router.

 

This newly system enables Captain to issue/print out a ticket for Crew on using internet service onboard.

Note that applying for a permit to carrier and onshore won't be necessary.

Crew can access to the internet onboard only by logging in with a ticket code on the ticket issued by Captain.

 

The system is like this:

Crew won't be able to access the internet if he uses up til the limitation of data amounts set by the ticket code.

This could totally control their usage and fairness.

 

Please note that the ticket is only available in the same month when it's issued and it will be unavailable on the next month technically.

Moreover, the ticket can be transferred to another Crew and additionally issued by Captain on demand.

 

In the near future, another ticket system will come true e.g. providing the ticket with crew for a fee.

The cost bored by Management Company should be decreased by this system.

Because the fare can be applied toward the satellite communications costs.

We would like to configure the new system on every ORiON Plus as standard.

For the customer who has already installed ORiON Plus, we would like to perform firmware updates or exchange ORiON Plus router itself.

You can introduce “TICKET SYSTEM “in the existed router after that.

For exchanging the router, we might dispatch a technician, first please contact us.

 

We would like to advise for every companies to set rules to work the system out.
