The ORCA SYSTEM is compliant with the safety management

The ORCA SYSTEM is compliant with the safety management requirement stipulated in the ISM Code. It supports “document management,” “reporting & records management” and the “execution of maintenance plans,” which are stipulated in the ISM Code. It also achieves efficient ship management, and enables the promotion of a paperless environment through the use of electronic data, while easing workloads and increasing efficiency in conjunction with the ORCA shipboard e-mail system.

Enabling flexible introduction and operation

The ORCA SYSTEM consists of the following modules (subsystems). The modules can be linked to each other, allowing them to be used in a unified operating environment. Of course, individual modules can be operated independently. Therefore, the system can be introduced and operated flexibly according to the client’s corporate size, environment and progress of digitalization.

1.MDCS - Manual Document Management System –

This system performs the paperless management of digitalized safety management manuals and record report forms, liberating individuals in charge of document management from complicated document history and distribution management tasks.

2.ORAR - Recording and Reporting System –

This system digitalizes the various kinds of record reports that are necessary for ship management and facilitates the searching and analysis of past records. Digitalization eliminates problems in finding the storage locations of huge amounts of documents.

3.OMPS - Maintenance Plan Support System –

This system supports the planning and execution of the maintenance of the ship required tocomply with the ISM Code. It is also compliant with TMSA（Tanker Management and Self Assessment）

4.SPCS - Spare Parts Management System –

This system manages the ship parts inventory on the ship. It is also equipped with a function to make a list of out-of-stock parts and automatically prepare part request forms.

5.PMS - Personnel Management System –

This system manages the histories, education, training records and electronic signatures of crew members and employees.

It also supports the management of embarkation and disembarkation schedules.

All of the above modules can be operated in conjunction with the shipboard e-mail system, facilitating document distribution and reporting from a ship via e-mail.
